World Victory Church is a family church that is based upon the principles of the Word of God. It started with a vision that God had shown Pastor Shawn and Andrea a few years before they held the first meeting. The Vision is Simple: Develop a Safe Haven (church) where people can come receive from God's Presence and learn how to be victorious through Jesus. When people walk through the doors at WVC, they can feel the Glory of God. There is no pressure to give and never any "merchandising" of God's Word, or any kind of sales. Just powerful worship, and uncompromised teaching of the Word. The results: Miracles!

In February of 1996, Pastor Shawn, Andrea, and their two boys started World Victory Church in Birmingham, Alabama with seven people. After outgrowing the living room in their house, they rented a meeting room at a local hotel for Sunday services. Within a few months, they rented their first space of 1,250 square feet in a storefront. There were two more moves that followed because of growth, and in April of 2007, they purchased 2 buildings with 4 acres in Moody, Alabama. Because of the growth, WVC now offers 2 services on Sunday mornings, and our expectation is to purchase 20+ acres in the near future in order to build a 1200 seat auditorium with a gymnasium and family center.

What makes World Victory Church different from other churches?

Association: World Victory Church is not associated with any denomination, and all are welcome, no matter what denomination, background, ethnicity, etc.

Praise and Worship: The Praise and Worship is uplifting and inspiring to all who participate. Many people will raise their hands, clap, cry, or even dance with the overwhelming joy that God gives them during the songs.

Finances: The finances of the church are based upon Philippians 4:19, and as a result there is never any pressure on anyone to give. An offering plate is never passed to receive the tithes. Instead, there is a box by the front entrance for people to freely give according to Malachi 3:10.

Sermons: The teaching is based wholly on God's Word, and is simple to understand and activate in ones life. God's Word teaches that it is His Will for all to be saved, all to be healed, all to be debt free, etc.

Free: There is no charge for CD's of the services or teaching materials at the church. Anything related to the Gospel is free. All you have to do is ask (Freely you have received, freely you shall give).
